KORU NEWS: RESEARCH & TRAINING

Koru Research Is Getting     Noticed!

Koru is getting a lot of attention in the world of college health.  Holly Rogers MD’s research article korumindfulness.org/evidence/, was the top downloaded article in 2014 in the Journal of American College Health.   As universities across the country search for evidence-based programs that promote resiliency, Koru’s practical, developmentally targeted mindfulness training is drawing more attention.

Koru Teachers in Training are Multiplying!

Koru is growing by leaps and bounds and the Koru Center for Mindfulness has now completed two teacher certification trainings in recent months.  There are now over sixty teachers-in-training in locations across the U.S. and Canada.

Koru Certification workshops went to Massachusetts and California
In response to multiple requests for trainings on the west coast and the northeast the following workshops were offered by the Koru Center for Mindfulness.  Koru teacher certification workshops were co-sponsored by Harvard’s Center for Wellness in Boston June 3-5, 2015 and by UCSD Center for Mindfulness at the EarthRise Retreat Center in Petaluma, CA on August 2-6, 2015.
Gratitude
Is expressed to Koru Center for Mindfulness, Harvard University’s Center for Wellness and UC San Diego Center for Mindfulness for these wonderful opportunities.
